The official teaser for the 3rd Koker International Short Film Festival has been released.

Designed by Italian visual artist Luca D’Anisi, the teaser features the final scene from Abbas Kiarostami’s acclaimed film Through the Olive Trees, accompanied by music composed by renowned Italian composer Domenico Cimarosa.

Formerly known as the Abbas Kiarostami International Short Film Festival, the event continues under the name Koker International Short Film Festival, inspired by the cinematic universe created by Kiarostami through his celebrated Koker Trilogy.

The festival will take place from July 1–3, 2026, at Klick Kino Berlin in collaboration with the Kiarostami Foundation. The festival is directed by Hamed Soleimanzadeh and aims to provide a platform for independent cinema, emerging filmmakers, and international short film dialogue.

Named after the village of Koker in northern Iran, where Abbas Kiarostami filmed Where Is the Friend’s House?, And Life Goes On, and Through the Olive Trees, the festival pays tribute to one of the most influential filmmakers in world cinema.
